Out of Home Never Looked So Good - June

Our monthly celebration of bold creatives and clients from Aotearoa and around the world who have embraced and amplified the power of Out of Home through their attention-demanding campaigns.

We have some wonderful Aotearoa examples of creatives effectively using static and digital formats as well as some truly eye-catching international campaigns.

We would love to see your genius at work; send us your campaign.

International

Before we showcase the incredible creative from Aotearoa this month, we came across this wonderful collection of 8 almost impossible Out of Homes ideas bought to life via Little Black Books website and had to share them. Some we’re familiar with, like the SpecSaver and Dracula ads, but the rest are new to us (but not new) and are brilliant examples of just how far you can run with an idea on Out of Home.

We’re positive this will be the best click-here experience you’ve had in a while…enjoy!

Wētā Workshop

Aotearoa: Passengers passing through Wellington Airport recently may have got quite the shock as what appears to be a colossal troll causes chaos on the departure boards as part of New Zealand’s first foray into 3DOOH.

The country’s first full-motion 3D billboard features Jeff, the troll from Wētā Workshop’s Auckland tourism experience, Wētā Workshop Unleashed. The playful troll can be seen rearranging departure screens to introduce the world of Wētā Workshop Unleashed.

Sky Television - FIFA World Cup

Aotearoa: There’s no better way to build momentum and anticipation about New Zealand being part of the FIFA World Cup than using high-impact Street Furniture Special Builds as part of an Out of Home campaign.

These special builds were part of the Pace Yourself layer of the FIFA brief and will help Kiwis get excited about & involved with the action to come.

Warner Bros. - The Flash

Aotearoa: When promoting the upcoming release of The Flash, Warner Bros. used super site special builds to draw attention to their super hero’s - great synergy!

Frucor Suntory

Aotearoa: For many years, the taste battle between Pepsi and Coca-Cola has been raging, with both sides claiming victory. Recently on the vibrant and iconic K Road in Auckland on JCDecaux’s highly visible corner site, PepsiCo settled the NZ version of this battle when they announced the results of their blind taste test; 55% of Kiwis preferred the taste of Pepsi over Coke via a special build.

A great way to tell the world (the world of Aotearoa, that is) your brand’s news.

St Johns

Aotearoa: LUMO Labs, alongside MBM, built a dynamic creative to support the ‘Light The Way’ annual appeal, using a real-time feed to draw audiences attention to the donations being made to this great cause.
