JCDecaux responds to one of marketers’ top priorities.

As an Industry, Out of Home operators have researched, acknowledged, and taken steps to reduce their products’ environmental impact and achieve a high level of sustainability, with JCDecaux International leading the industry with its sustainability programmes.

In Aotearoa, JCDecaux has achieved carbonzero status from Toitu Envirocare, uses 100% renewable energy as per its RE100 commitment and offers advertisers Future Banner – a static skin that is PVC free that is now used as standard on all 6x3 and 12x3 roadside sites.

Sustainable advertisers have been extremely interested in JCDecaux’s evolving sustainable credentials and are keen for consumers to understand that they have made a sustainable choice in choosing to work with JCDecaux.

In response to market demand, sustainably minded advertisers have a range of footers to select from that they can display as part of their creative to highlight to consumers that they have made a sustainable choice in media partner:

Option 1 – for static, printed on PVC free Future Banner (static prints)

Option 2 – for digital, JCDecaux, the sustainable choice

Clients can opt to choose footers in white, navy or black, to work alongside creative. The footers are designed to not compete with creative saliency and JCDecaux will promote the initiative so that consumers will understand what this means when they see them.

The first campaign using the footers will go live on the 4th of October with a direct client, NoUgly – a functional drinks brand with a strong sustainability focus that is working towards BCorp certification with environmental impact as one of the key pillars.
