Jolt launches AI-optimised digital out of home in Aotearoa

Jolt is revolutionising the way out of home campaigns are planned, traded, reported and now, optimised. From this month, that revolution comes to Aotearoa.

Spark Intelligence AI – a tech-led enhancement to Jolt’s Spark Intelligence platform – enables brands to optimise digital out of home campaigns in-flight, at scale. This means reconfiguring live campaign delivery, reaching audiences when it matters most and driving stronger results with every dollar spent.

The proposition is greater precision, flexibility and targeting capability across the digital street furniture network – ultimately meaning more effectiveness and accelerated ROI across a campaign lifetime.

“Jolt’s out of home network in New Zealand is fully digital – giving our advertising partners a level of flexibility and control that static formats simply can’t offer,” says Jolt New Zealand group sales manager Stephen Douglas.

“Spark Intelligence already lets brands plan and trade against real audiences, not just locations, with the same precision as digital channels. AI Optimisation takes that a step further: it drives effective reach and shifts delivery in real time while a campaign is live, so every dollar of media spend is working harder, driving efficiencies and delivering better business outcomes, not just a schedule.”

Strong results

Spark AI doesn’t change a client’s media budget – only where it lands.

Throughout the campaign, impressions are shifted to times and locations where the brand’s audience is genuinely present – which means more impressions that work, and fewer that don’t, reducing waste and improving outcomes. All data is aggregated and privacy-safe.

Spark AI Australian results are what Jolt brings to the New Zealand conversation.

Across 12 brands and six categories – among them Polestar, Target, UniSuper, Origin Energy, Schweppes and American Express – every measured campaign improved. Foot traffic rose by up to 89%, and by 143% in a single market.

In finance, brand consideration lifted 26%, ahead of every competitor measured in the same study.

“We’ve already seen how powerful this is in Australia – measurable, sometimes triple-digit lifts in foot traffic, consideration and recall,” says Douglas.

“I’m genuinely excited for our New Zealand partners to put that same capability to work.”
