Out of Home for Good

The Out of Home industry understands the role it plays in the public domain, and giving back and supporting the Aotearoa community has always been a priority, whether it’s helping broadcast important information or giving a voice to not-for-profit groups.

While there are a plethora of organisations being supported by members of the Out of Home Industry, the work that three OOHMAA members, in particular, are currently undertaking deserves a spotlight shone on these projects as they are so important to ensure the health and well-being of Kiwis; if you or your organisation can support any of these groups, please do so, contact details follow.

LUMO

Lumo’s community partner, Springboard, does amazing work with Aotearoa's youth; their aim is to support young people to find their fit in the world by giving them a range of experiences that will see them discover their passions, give them a reason to move forward and to transition into further education, training or employment opportunities.

oOh!media

oOh! and Voices of Hope have come together, once again, to recognise Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 (18th – 24th September) by displaying a thought-provoking message every day of the week across the Out of Home network.

Voices of Hope has been a charity partner of oOh!media for three years now, with the partnership taking an ‘always on, always there’ approach, ensuring that oOh! displays messages of hope constantly across both the Street and Retail networks all year round.

This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 is ‘Five Ways, Five Days’, which inspired Voices of Hope’s campaign of doing five different messages across each new day of the week. Each message highlights the importance of reaching out to friends who may need some extra care, as well as encouraging those who are not feeling great to take action and reach out if they need.

Go Media

Following a successful debut of the Good Impressions initiative, with over 65 million impressions donated to 12 charities across New Zealand, Go Media has announced the programme will be continuing for a second year.

The initiative ‘Good Impressions’ puts the power in Go Media customers’ hands, allowing them to pay their impressions forward by donating them to one, two or all three social outcome pillars of Wellbeing, Environment and People.

These donated impressions are then distributed on Go Media’s nationwide digital billboards to the benefiting organisations in each category.

Due to the positive reception that Good Impressions has had in communities across Aotearoa and the influx of applications that followed, Go Media made the decision to increase their support of 12 charities to 15 this year, with a combination of current and new organisations in the mix. These include the likes of Sustainable Coastlines, I AM HOPE, She Is Not Your Rehab and Bellyful.
