Out of Home Never Looked So Good - November

Our monthly celebration of bold creatives and clients from Aotearoa and around the world who have embraced and amplified the power of Out of Home through their attention-demanding campaigns.

We hope you enjoy the examples we’ve chosen locally and internationally, who we felt best used Out of Home static and digital formats to deliver some genuinely eye-catching campaigns. Maybe one of these will be the catalyst for your next great creative idea.

We would love to see your genius at work; send us your campaign.

PLAYSTATION

Aotearoa: PlayStation sure knows how to make Spidey fans happy! To celebrate the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, they set up a vibrant pop-up comic book store at Auckland Transport's Britomart Station. Visitors could experience the game's stunning visuals and immersive gameplay on-site, register to go into the draw to win a PS5 and grab a special edition Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 prequel comic book.
Not content with just that, PlayStation dominated Britomart with their advertising across the station - to make sure they left a lasting impression.

COLDPLAY

Aotearoa: Using multi-formats to increase campaign awareness is an effective tactic, and this very cool execution in Cuba St, Wellington, is a great example of a client achieving this.

Promoters of the Cold Play concert ensured audiences noticed this event by extending their Digital Out of Home (DOOH) with a Wallscape takeover, creating a truly eye-catching campaign.

AUT

Aotearoa: To promote their 2023 showcase, AUT has been ‘invitising’ the industry to the 2023 End of Year Showcase with invites disguised as recent campaigns from local agencies.

The invites included billboards and posters for Lotto, Briscoes, Skinny, Fire and Emergency NZ, Griffin’s, Hell Pizza, 2degrees, Chorus, Blind Low Vision NZ, Kathmandu, TAB, ASB, Powershop, Genesis, and Movember and were so good one marketer raised their concern that customers might be confused by the billboards.
