Go Media expands national transit footprint with Environment Canterbury Metro win
Go Media is growing its national transit advertising network, signing a new long-term agreement with Canterbury Regional Council, Environment Canterbury, for the Metro network.
The deal will see Go Media manage advertising across Metro public transport in Christchurch and Timaru, with the partnership able to continue for up to 10 years.
The company’s transit network now covers Dunedin, Greater Wellington, Manawatū, Wairarapa, Taranaki, Bay of Plenty and Canterbury, sitting alongside its roadside digital billboard network.
Frank Costello, Commercial Director, Go Media, says the partnership builds on the company’s Canterbury roots and its growing national transit offer.
“As a Christchurch-founded company, we’re incredibly proud to have been selected as Environment Canterbury’s advertising partner for the Metro network.
“Canterbury has always been an important part of Go Media’s story and this partnership represents a significant opportunity for us to continue investing in the region, supporting local organisations and helping connect communities through public transport and advertising.
“Metro plays an important role linking communities across Canterbury, and we look forward to working collaboratively with Environment Canterbury to deliver innovative advertising opportunities that support the network and customer experience.
“Media agencies are increasingly looking for efficiency, scale and simplicity in campaign planning, and this partnership allows us to deliver across an even broader national footprint.”
Go Media has begun working with Environment Canterbury as part of the transition, with the new agreement starting on 10 June.
