OOHMAA Chairman, Mike Watkins farewells a friend, competitor & colleague

Come the end of November, Mike Porter calls time on a long and successful career in the Out of Home industry.

Starting at iSite in 2006, Mike rose to Chief Operating Officer and then through the transition to QMS in 2016. September 2019 saw the QMS becoming part of Mediaworks, where Mike holds the role of Outdoor Media Director.

Over his 16-year tenure in the industry, Mike has been a key figure in helping to drive the industry forward, and his passion and deep thinking will be missed.   

Mike has been a pleasure to work with as a core member of the OOHMAA board, and I personally will miss his enthusiasm for an impassioned debate. 

Mike, on behalf of the board and our GM, thank you for your contribution and best of luck going forward. I have no doubt our paths will cross again.

With all endings, new beginnings also come, and we welcome Angus Swainson, MediaWorks Outdoor Director, to the OOHMAA board and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.
